□ Day 12 (23 Feb) Manning (stay)
This motel's breakfast wasn't free. A bit of a shame. We ordered the breakfast set at the café where we had lunch yesterday. Reasonably priced, generous and good value. Only Horibe, who didn't order the set, got just a single French toast for about the same price.
Around 8 o'clock we took the car to the workshop. It seemed fine for short drives. We met the boss and handed him a letter we had written yesterday. Afterwards he asked us to come back tomorrow morning, and we left the workshop.

With a whole day free, we decided to explore the town of Manning. The town was covered in snow, and the river crossing the centre was completely frozen. The sign showed −18 °C. It was cold, so we went into a nearby supermarket and a general store and browsed slowly. For lunch we bought bread, salad and so on at the supermarket. It's a small town, but the supermarket was very big.

After that, relaxing time in the room. Like yesterday, we spent the whole time lazing about until night.
